Former ATOMKRAFT Guitarist Rejoins AGANKAST

September 21, 2006

Former ATOMKRAFT guitarist Rob Matthew, whose current responsibilities include managing the young British metal band AGANKAST, has issued the following update:

"I have returned to [playing guitar for] AGANKAST after a brief spell out of the band as I had other commitments in Germany. It seemed at the time my involement in the band would become very difficult. However, a changed situation has resolved itself and I have now returned 100% to AGANKAST. I was replaced briefly by band friend Jimmy Manningham, who remains part of the band's entourage, and I thank him for holding fort while I have been away.

"The AGANKAST storm continues on as we are at the U.K's biggest independent metal festival Bloodstock in [a] week's time. We have some European dates planned and two outdoor festivals in Germany and another here in the U.K. almost confirmed, but, as yet, I cannot name them for legal reasons. We have also this month posted three new videos, including live footage taken from this month's recent shows around Britain. They can be found at this location.

"Finally, a new album is being disscussed for a release date of April 2007. This will be a no-nonsense metal offering. Lyrically, I'm done with the politics now and leave that to the politicians.... except I will say this: I have heard that SLAYER's Jeffrey Hanneman has written a new song, and it seems the guy's obviously lost the plot..... The song has taken the point of the terrorist?! Wow, how clever is that... Now, is he writing out of desperation or what? I wonder if any of his 'fans' had family members in those twin towers on 9/11."
